Silver Lining Care Solutions is a home care Registry that specializes in providing home health aides to seniors, the disabled and individuals in need of companionship. Our aides help clients with Activities of Daily Living, Personal Care, Medication Administration and Household Management. As a private hire employer you have the flexibility to decide the aide's responsibilities and scope of work.

Yes, we are licensed and bonded by the City of New York as an employment agency that places domestic home health workers with families for private care. 

A home care Registry places caregivers as permanent placement, private hire employees. Registry aides are able to provide skilled care and administer prescribed medications at the families direction. With an Agency, you hire the Agency and not the individual caregiver. Agencies can rotate aides based on the agency's staffing needs rather than your needs. The care agency aides are allowed to provide is strictly limited. Agency aides CANNOT perform skilled tasks or administer medication.

Most long term care policies will reimburse the policy holder for private hire aides if the aides have HHA, CNA or PCA certification. We recommend you check with your insurance provider to be sure your policy allows for private hire caregivers. 

Yes, we offer 24/7 coverage to ensure that our clients receive the care they need if their caregiver calls in sick or leaves for any reason. Your loved one will never be left without coverage.

Most of our caregivers are referred to us by trusted sources. We require that each aide provide a resume and reference letters which are thoroughly checked. We also screen individual aides based on their professional skill level and personality type to make a customized placement for each client. A multi-tiered in-person interview is performed for each aide as well as a background check. 

There are several factors that may make a Registry a better choice than an Agency for your family. For instance, if your loved one requires skilled care and/or medication administration. If you prefer more control over the hiring process and to decide which aide is placed with your loved one. And if you prefer consistency of care and an easier line of communication with the aide without third party involvement a Registry is the better choice. 

The process usually takes a few days from initial communication to placement. However, for emergency situations we will work closely with you to initiate service in one or two days.

Yes, from the day of termination, when the caregiver is no longer working for your family, your obligation to Silver Lining Care Solutions ceases. There is no termination fee or penalty.
